Antaris Solutions spins out from Ambient Systems with SmartView end-user Application1 July 2010  1st of July, 2010, Enschede, The Netherlands – Ambient Systems is pleased to announce the founding of spin-out company Antaris Solutions. After the launch of its SmartView Cold Chain Monitor web-application at the end of 2009 and the successful global implementation at Panalpina, Ambient Systems decided to spin-out Antaris Solutions, an end-user solutions company focused on Pharmaceutical Cold Chain applications. With this strategic decision, Ambient Systems is well positioned to further enhance its Product Series 3000, the most advanced Dynamic Wireless Sensor Networking products for Cold Chain and other applications.
Eelco de Jong has decided to head-up Antaris Solutions, which will be a close business partner of Ambient Systems. Antaris Solutions will commence official operations as of the 1st of July, 2010. As a result, Eelco de Jong will no longer fulfill his position of Director Sales & Business Development with Ambient Systems. Although Mr. De Jong’s departure from Ambient Systems after several years of employment is a loss for Ambient, Ambient Systems looks forward to continue working with Mr. De Jong in this new partnership.

With this step, Ambient Systems is adjusting its strategy to re-focus on its core expertise, namely Dynamic Wireless Sensor Networks. The 3000 Series is now installed and deployed in more than 10 countries world-wide. Also, with its pending release of the new ‘All-Wireless’ Gateways and MicroRouters, which operate completely autonomously on solar-power, Ambient will embark on a mission to open up new markets that can benefit from its highly energy-efficient sensor network technology.
