Ambient Systems innovative dynamic wireless sensor networks are being deployed around the world in growing number of applications. The following case studies provide additional information about successful implementations.
PANALPINA: Implements Award-Winning Global SmartView Cold Chain Control Center
The Panalpina Group is one of the world’s leading suppliers of forwarding and logistics services, specializing in end-to-end supply chain management solutions and intercontinental air freight and ocean freight shipments.
At the end of 2009, Panalpina installed Ambient 3000 Series networks, 3rd Generation Active RFID based on Wireless Sensor Networks, in various hubs around the globe. Using the SmartView web-based front-end of Antaris Solutions, Panalpina now has real-time insight in the conditions of their climate-controlled storage facilities, but primarily insight in the status, condition and location of their shipments throughout their supply chain. Ambient SmartPoints, in this case, are used both for static monitoring and RF data logging.
All together, this case clearly presents the benefits of wireless sensor networks and intelligent RFID tags.
Antaris Solutions is a Business Partner of Ambient Systems.
